Cisco - Thong Song?

Attempting to have a productive Sunday, which can pose a great difficulty the day before returning to work and the unfortunate last day of the weekend.

Studying for ICND2 (rest of my CCNA certification)! I have about 9 hours left of training videos and then comes the practice and memorizing. It's been about a year since I passed the ICND1 exam, but I'm excited to get back into the swing of things. This time around I will get class credit in school for passing the exam, so there's a little more motivation backing me. Not to mention I'm starting to absolutely loathe my job and this cert will open a few doors for me at Comcast. I'm not naive by any means and do not think this will be a life changing certification, but the more help the better!

I've been looking to get my home lab fired up, but I still need a handful of crossover cables. So if anyone out there has some Cat-5e or 6 laying around and wants to make me some crossovers, please feel free! :) Until then I'll be sticking with Boson NetSim. Realistically it's easier and I don't have to worry about the heat from 3 routers and 4 switches. This room isn't the best when it comes to airflow and I'll be breaking a sweat in no time with the rack fired up.

Rock n Rip-Off

Went down to Worcester, Mass yesterday to check our Rock n Shock. Highly disappointing! I had every intention to get a photo with Gary Busey, but $20 for a photo-op? You have to be kidding me! Maybe the actors were not to blame, but everyone was charging for pictures and autographs. Needless to say it was $20 just for admission. I was doing a lot of thinking and these guys must have raked in a fortune doing nothing and I was certainly not going to help pad their pockets. I'd rather Photoshop myself into a picture with them. Just crazy!

Even most of the vendors were a let down. I was hoping to see a lot more action figures for sale, but they were few and far between and highly overpriced. If anything I would say it just gives ideas for eBay shopping to get things are reasonable prices. There were a few shirts I would've purchased, but then again there wasn't anything over the top exciting or cheap enough to warrant spending money.

So yep, I feel bad for anyone that went there and spent $100's just for admission and some pictures. Sucky!
